Saw Palmetto extract is derived from the berries of small palm trees called – dwarfs. Extracts consist of various saturated and unsaturated fatty acids (no cholesterol) and sterols. The sterols contain beta-sitosterol and stigmasterol.

Specifically for Saw Palmetto has been found that prevents the binding of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to androgenira receptors by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone into DHT.
